주님!
제 영혼은 오늘 한낮도
공중에 띄운 연처럼
당신 나라를 찾아 헤매다가
회오리 바람에 줄이 끊어져
어디론지 사라져 버렸답니다

주님!
제 영혼은 이 밤도
마치 달을 쳐다보고
짖어대는 강아지처럼
대답도 없는 당신을 향해
컹컹대고 끙끙댑니다

Lord!
Once again this midday my soul
wandering in search of your kingdom
like a kite soaring through the air
when the cord is snapped by a twirling blast
has vanished into the blue.

Lord!
Once again this evening my soul
like a puppy that gazes up at the moon
and barks
is barking and whimpering towards you
and gets no reply.
