The dress is in ribbed green silk brocaded in a large cream
trellis design with realistic flowers and folliage. It and a lace
ruffle were donated to the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath in 1952 by Mrs
Mary Linley Taylor (then of White Lodge, 32 Bath Road, Maidenhead,
Berks). The dress was given the object number BATVG:M:1952.57. The
entire costume collection from Victoria Art Gallery was transferred to
the Fashion Museum some years later (1980s?) The object number of
the dress there is BATMC I.09.1037 (LOAN).
