An Introduction to Modern Korean Literature

 

This course will introduce students to works by a small number of writers, seen in the broad context of Korean literary history but mostly discussed in terms of their content and style. Most of the works will be made available either online or in print.

5. Students' brief (4-5 minutes) presentations of the short story ¡®The Plain¡¯ by Seo Cheong-in.

 

6. Discussion of some major characteristics of Korean writing on the basis of what has been seen in class.
